Gasuik Pitches Kats to Sweep

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - April 21 - Riding the pitching of freshman Molly Gasuik (Buffalo/Mt. Mercy), the Erie Community College softball team recorded 6-0 and 9-1 wins over Finger Lakes Community College Thursday.
Gasuik scattered seven hits in the opener and allowed two hits and an unearned run in the game two.
Megan Marciniak (Buffalo/St. Mary's) had five hits in the two games. She had two doubles and drove in three runs in game two. Jessica Warning (Buffalo/Sacred Heart), Bettina Jakubiec (Angola, N.Y./Eden), and Alyssa Taborn (Buffalo/CSAT) each had a pair of hits.
In game one, Courtney Bonvissuto (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk) had two hits and three runs batted in. Jakubiec and Christine Rizzo (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) each had two hits.
The Kats will play Jamestown Community College-Cattaraugus County Saturday in a 1 p.m. twin bill.
