Kats Finish Third, Eighth at NJCAA Bowling Championships

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - March 3 - The Erie Community College women's bowling team finished third overall at the NJCAA Bowling Championships held Friday and Saturday at Thruway Lanes. The Kats knocked down 10,848 pins but defending champion Mohawk Valley Community College won its second-straight title.

On the men's side, ECC was eighth at 11,808 while Vincennes (Ind.) University picked up the team title at 13,668.

Individually, ECC sophomore Danielle Dolegala (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) was ninth at 2,051, missing All-America honors by 28 pins. Freshman Morgan Anderson (Orchard Park, N.Y./Tapestry Charter) was 12th at 2,017 and classmate Samantha Stachura-Lee was 17th at 1,957.

On the men's side, freshmen Eric Alajko (Depew, N.Y./Depew) and Devon Miller (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee) were 24th and 25th, respectively.
