Pantano Leads WNYAC in RBI

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Sept. 14 - Erie Community College sophomore shortstop Joe Pantano (Fredonia, N.Y./St. Francis) leads the Western New York Athletic Conference fall season with seven runs batted in. The Kats are 5-1 in league play this fall.
Freshman Steve Hubbs (Hamilton, Ont./Sir Winston Churchill) is second in hitting with a .700 (7x10) batting average.
Sophomore pitcher Mike Wagner (Williamsville, N.Y./St. Mary’s) is fourth with 10 strikeouts and sixth with a 1.04 earned-run average. Wagner is 1-1. Sophomore pitcher Mike Tolsma (Tonawanda, N.Y./Tonawanda) is ninth with a 1.50 ERA. He has won both of his decisions.
After a scrimmage Thursday against Team Verdaro, ECC returns to WNYAC action with a doubleheader Saturday at Genesee Community College and another Sunday at Jamestown Community College.
