Seven Kats to Continue Baseball Careers

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Aug. 7 - Seven members of the 2012 Erie Community College baseball team will continue their baseball careers at four-year institutions.

Shortstop Joe Pantano (Fredonia, N.Y./St. Francis) and outfielder Adam Urschel (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) will play at Mercyhurst (Pa.) College, a NCAA Division II member and participant in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Former Kat Shane Latshaw was a third-team All-America selection this spring for the Lakers.

Pitcher/infielder Mike Wagner (Williamsville, N.Y./St. Mary's), who was the Region III Player of the Year and a first-team NJCAA Division III All-America selection, will play at Central Methodist (Mo.). Pitcher/infielder Jesse Zellner (Tonawanda, N.Y./Tonawanda) will also play for the Eagles, a NAIA institution that competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Catcher Adam Grace (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Falls) will play at Ashland (Ohio) University of the NCAA Division II's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Outfielder T.J. Singh (Toronto, Ont./Holy Trinity) will play for Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), a member of the NAIA's TranSouth Conference.
Also joining a NAIA school is pitcher Rich Corrente (Chatham, Ont./ESPC) as he will play at St. Catherine (Ky.).

ECC previously announced that Mike Tolsma, a pitcher from Tonawanda, N.Y./Tonawanda, will play at Canisius College.
