Northeast Football Conference Honors ECC's Joseph, Payne

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Oct. 12) - The Northeast Football Conference today named Erie Community College running back Zedric Joseph and cornerback/return specialist Rashad Payne as the conference’s offensive and co-special teams players of the week.

Joseph, a sophomore from West Palm Beach, Fla., ran for 135 yards and caught six passes for 79 yards in the Kats’ 39-32 victory over Lackawanna Oct. 9. Joseph scored touchdowns on a 47-yard pass reception and a career-long 81-yard run.

Payne, a sophomore from Pompano Beach, Fla., returned a punt 49 yards for a touchdown against Lackawanna. He shared the award with Nassau Community College’s Malichi Freeman.

ECC will play Dean College at noon Saturday at Jim Ball Stadium.
