Doyle, Winston Named First-Team All-NFC

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Nov.22 – Two members of the Erie Community College football team were named to the All-Northeast Football Conference team today at the league meetings.

Sophomore linebacker Brian Doyle (Syracuse, N.Y./G.W. Fowler) and freshman running back Deonta Winston (Baltimore, Md./Patterson) were first-team selections. Doyle was second in the NFC with 74 tackles while Winston ran for 528 yards. Doyle was a third-team NFC selection in 2010.

The Kats had three players named the second team: sophomore offensive lineman Lipton Kelly (Bronx, N.Y./Harry S. Truman), freshman running back J.J. Dickey (Salem, N.J./Delcastle) and defensive back Dan Louis (Lake Worth, Fla.).

ECC had five players on the third team. They were: freshman linebacker Kyril Threats (Buffalo/Canisius), sophomore defensive lineman Malik Thompson (Baltimore, Md./William Penn), freshman defensive lineman Ian Marouf (Fort Erie, Ont./Lakeshore Catholic), sophomore defensive lineman Matt Knotts (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) and sophomore return specialist Jujuan Marshall (New York, N.Y./Graphic Communication Arts).
