National Champion Kats Place Three on Bowling Coaches Association Academic Team

BUFFALO, N.Y. – April 18 – The Erie Community College men’s bowling team had three individuals named to the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association‘s 2010-2011 Academic All-America Team.
The Kats, who won the 2011 NJCAA national title, had sophomores David Zajac (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and Ted Chojecki (West Seneca, N.Y.) and freshman Tyler Skoczylas (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) on the squad.
Zajac was the 2011 NJCAA all-events national champion and was joined by Chojecki on the NJCAA All-America team.
To be selected to the NCBCA team, a bowler must be a United States Bowling Congress collegiate athlete who has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
