Roy Scores Three as Kats Improve to 16-3

TROY, N.Y. – Jan. 28 – Freshman forward Scott Roy (Rockland, Ont.) recorded three goal in the Erie Community College hockey team’s 5-1 win over Hudson Valley Community College Saturday in Region III play. ECC, the nation’s second-ranked team, improves to 16-3 overall.

Sophomore forward Frank Briandi (Tonawanda, N.Y.) added a goal and two assists. Also recording three points for the Kats were Christopher Kendall (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) and Corey Kifner (Williamsville, N.Y.) as each player scored three assists. Mark Trigilio (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) picked up a goal and an assist.

The Kats will play Monroe Community College, the nation’s top-ranked team, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Cheektowaga Rec Center.
