Kats Blast Niagara (Ont.), 78-42

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Jan. 4 - Kadijah Kidd (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga), a sophomore forward on the Erie Community College women's basketball team, recorded her third double-double of the season as the Kats recorded a 78-42 win over Niagara (Ont.) Friday night at the Flickinger Center.

Kidd recorded 13 points and 13 rebounds as ECC improved to 9-3. Sophomore Alexis Gray (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca East) also scored 13 points and added two blocked shots. Sophomore guard Shyasha Spencer (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) also had 10 points. Sophomore Charnaye Sanders (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) snared 10 rebounds.

ECC had five different players score during a 10-point run to break a 11-11 tie midway in the first half. After building a 23-15 lead, the Kats closed the half with a 14-3 run for a 37-18 edge at halftime.

ECC will play Genesee CC at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Flickinger Center in the Kats' Western New York Athletic Conference opener.
