SANBORN, N.Y. - April 28 - The Erie Community College softball team picked up two wins Thursday as it completed one game and played two others against Niagara County Community College at NCCC.

The Kats used a two-run single by Courtney Bonvissuto (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk) in the eighth inning to record a 11-10 win over NCCC in the completion of a suspended game from April 7. The game was suspended due to darkness after seven innings with a 9-9 score.

NCCC won the opener of the regularly scheduled twin bill 9-1 before the Kats rebounded with a 13-1 victory. Molly Gasuik (Buffalo/Mt. Mercy) threw a two-hit complete game in the nightcap.

Bettina Jakubiec (Angola, N.Y./Eden) collected four hits in game two and drove in six runs. She delivered a three-run double in the second inning as the Kats erupted for five runs in the frame.

The Kats, now 5-13, will play Onondaga Community College in Syracuse Saturday in a doubleheader.
