ECC Bowling Finishes Regular Season

UTICA, NY – Erie Community College finished their regular season bowling schedule as they participated in the NJCAA Region III Tournament Saturday. The ECC men finished in fifth with 8,278 pins, while the women finished in second with 8,223.

The Lady Kats were led by Elizabeth Szpara (Orchard Park, NY / Orchard Park) who finished first with a 826 pin count while Gabrielle Damin (Clarence, NY / Clarence) finished in fourth with 737 total pins. The doubles group of Szpara/Damin finished first with 1,569 pins. Those were the only top five finishes for the Lady Kats.

Overall for the women, Szpara finished first with 1,624 pins and Damin finished in third with 1,508 pins.

The Kats were led by Russelll Wojciechoaski and Chris Bitterman in men's doubles. They finished in 11th with 1,425 pins. For the singles, Wojciechoaski finished in eighth with 791 pins.

Overall, Wojciechoaski finished in 11th for men with a total pin count of 1,530.

The Kats will now prepare for the NJCAA Championships Feb. 28 and March 1 at Thruway Lanes in Buffalo, NY.
