Six Kats Named to All-WNYAC Baseball Team

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Nov. 21 – Six members of the Erie Community College baseball team were named to the All-Western New York Athletic Conference team, announced today by the league.
The Kats, who went 9-5 and lost to the eventual champion in the WNYAC Tournament semifinals, had three players chosen to the second team and three more named honorable mention.
Sophomore shortstop Joe Pantano (Fredonia, N.Y./St. Francis) was named to the All-WNYAC team for the second-straight season. He was a 2010 first-team selection after leading the league with a .480 batting average.
Joining Pantano on the second team were sophomore pitcher Mike Wagner (Clarence, N.Y./St. Mary's) and freshman Steven Hubbs (Hamilton, Ont./Sir Winston Churchill). Wagner went 2-2 with a 1.35 earned-run average while Hubbs was third in the league with a .407 batting average.

Named to the honorable mention squad were: freshman catcher Adam Grace (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Falls), infielder Anthony Risquez, and sophomore outfielder Dylan Huch (Gowanda, N.Y./Gowanda).
