Slow Start Dooms Kats in Loss

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Feb. 9 - The Erie Community College women's basketball team got off to a cold start and could not recover in Thursday night's 61-50 loss to Alfred State College at the Flickinger Center. Alfred State opened a 19-10 lead and never trailed in the Western New York Athletic Conference contest.

ECC, now 12-9 overall and 4-2 in league play, was led by freshman forward Kadijah Kidd (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) and her 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jasmine Ball (Buffalo, N.Y./Bennett) added 13 points.

Alfred State (12-8, 3-3) was led by Camille Romero's 17 points.

The Kats will play Genesee Community College at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Flickinger Center.
