Ordonez Powers Kats Past Fulton-Montgomery

BROADALBIN, N.Y. - Sept. 10 - Sophomore forward Pablo Ordonez (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) scored two goals and was credited with an assist as the Erie Community College men's soccer team improved to 2-1 with Saturday's 4-0 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College. The match was played at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

Fifteen minutes into the contest, Ordonez scored from 20 yards out in the first half on an assist from Sami Abdulmalik. Ordonez then scored two minutes into the second half on an assist from Trevor Vanderbush (Holland, N.Y./Holland).

Otuken Gildo (Buffalo, N.Y./East) gave the Kats a 3-0 lead roughly two minutes after Ordonez's second goal. Gildo then scored his second goal at the 66th minute with the assist going to Ordonez.

Freshman goalkeeper Rich Bund made nine saves in collecting his first collegiate complete game shutout.

ECC plays at Bryant & Stratton College in Syracuse Sunday.
