ECC Finishes Fourth, Fifth in Doubles at NJCAA Meet

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - March 4 - Erie Community College had three doubles teams finish in the top 10 during Friday's doubles competition at the NJCAA Bowling Championships at Transit Lanes.

ECC's Alyssa Narkiewicz (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and Jenna Law (Milford, Mich.) combined for a score of 1,061 to finish fourth in the women's competition.

On the men's side, David Zajac (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and Ted Chojecki (West Seneca, N.Y.) recorded a score of 1,215 to finish fifth while Joe Elbers (Clarenece, N.Y.) and Derek Szymkowiak (Eden, N.Y.) combined for 1,170 to finish 10th.

ECC's team of Ashley Howard (Forestville, N.Y.) and Shelby Barker (Kenmore, N.Y.) was 14th 914.

Hudson Valley Community College's Megan Mormino and Nicole Sheldon finished first in women's doubles at 1,166 while Hudson Valley CC's John Pulver and Bill Pulver won the men's doubles at 1,299.

The singles competition will also take place Friday. The NJCAA Championships conclude Saturday.
