Kats Second at NJCAA Bowling Championships

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - March 2 - The Erie Community College women's bowling team is in second place after Friday's action at the NJCAA Championships held at Thruway Lanes. The Kats trail defending national champion Mohawk Valley Community College by 84 pins.
Leading the Kats is sophomore Danielle Dolegala (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) who is eighth in the all events standings. Dolegala and Samantha Stachura-Lee (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) were sixth in doubles.
ECC, the reigning men's team champion, is in ninth place. Vincennes (Ind.) University leads the men's team competition.
Freshman Eric Alajko (Depew, N.Y./Depew) leads the Kats with a 20th place finish in the all events standings.
 
The tournament concludes Saturday. The five-man competition starts at 8:30 a.m. with Baker games starting at 11:30 a.m.
