Two members of the Erie Community College baseball team were recognized as NJCAA Division III All-Americans for their performances during the 2010 season.
Sophomore outfielder/pitcher Shane Latshaw (Cheektowaga/Maryvale High School) was a Second Team All-American selection after hitting .401 (63-for-157) with a region-leading 11 home runs and 58 RBI. He leaves the college as its all-time home run leader with 18 career round-trippers. On the mound, Latshaw finished the year 3-1 with a 4.22 earned run average.
Freshman third basemen Emilio Arteta (Miami, FL/Dr. Michael Krop High School) was a Third Team selection after batting .366 (48-for-131) with 10 home runs and 48 RBI.
Erie finished the 2010 season with a 28-18 record.
