Three ECC Men's Soccer Players Chosen First-Team All-WNYAC

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Oct. 27) - Erie Community College men's soccer players Adan Mukumbira, Pablo Ordonez and Craig Raines were chosen as All-Western New York Athletic Conference first-team selections, announced today by the league office.

ECC, which won its first-ever WNYAC league title with a 3-1 record, also placed two individuals - Abdo Yahya and Gobran Nagi - on the second team. The ECC men's team plays Tompkins-Cortland CC Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Region III semifinals at Herkimer CC.

The ECC women's soccer team had two players, Susanne Jacobs and Jessica Dispenza, named second-team All-WNYAC. The ECC women's team ended its season with a 3-11-1 record.

Mukumbira, a freshman midfielder from Buffalo/Grover Cleveland, has scored a team-high 14 goals to go with five assists this season.

Ordonez, a freshman forward from Cheektowaga, has scored 13 goals and recorded a team-high seven assists.

Raines, a sophomore midfielder from Gloucester, Va./Greensboro College, has five goals and five assists. He scored two goals, including the game-winner, against No. 7 Genesee Community College Oct. 26 to lead the Kats to a 3-2 win in the Region III quarterfinals. Raines started the season as the Kats' goalkeeper, appearing in nine matches with a 1.75 goals-against average.

Yahya, a freshman defender from Lackawanna, has registered two assists on the season and helped guide the Kats to four shutouts this season.

Nagi, a freshman goalkeeper from Lackawanna, has a 1.395 GAA.

Dispenza, a freshman forward/goalkeeper from Orchard Park, scored a team-high seven goals and made three assists.

Jacobs, a sophomore midfielder from Amherst/Williamsville North, had four goals and six assists.
