Erie Community College is offering two new environmental associate degree programs for the spring 2011 semester – Environmental Science and Environmental Technology Geoscience.
Designed for those who want to continue their education at a four-year college or university, students who successfully complete the Environmental Science program can transfer into the Environmental Studies program at the State University of New York at Buffalo or the Environmental Science or Environmental Biology programs at the school of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University.
Students who enroll in the Environmental Technology Geoscience program will be prepared for immediate employment after graduation in fields such as environmental protection and testing, geological waste testing, forestry services and land and ecosystems conservation.
Through service learning courses, students in both programs will gain hands-on experience in the field while contributing to their communities.
