Onondaga CC Sweeps Sixth-Ranked Kats

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - April 3 - The sixth-ranked Erie Community College baseball team suffered two losses Tuesday, falling 10-1 and 2-0 to Onondaga CC at the ECC North Campus.

Onondaga CC improved to 19-6 overall and a league-best 5-1. The Kats are now 12-8 overall and 2-2 in Region III play.

Onondaga CC scored 10 runs in the first inning of the first game and cruised to the win. Joshua Vaccaro (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) pitched three scoreless innings in relief in the opener.

ECC sophomore Rich Corrente (Chatham, Ont./ESPC) allowed seven hits in game two while tossing a complete game.

The teams will face off again Thursday in Syracuse.
