Kats Rank Second in NJCAA Hockey Poll

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Dec. 6 - The Erie Community College hockey team, the reigning NJCAA champion, is ranked second in the first NJCAA poll of the season.

The Kats, 9-1-1, trail only Monroe Community College which defeated ECC Nov. 30. The Kats will play Mohawk Valley Community College Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the Cheektowaga Rec Center.

ECC features the top three scorers in NJCAA play -- freshman forward Scott Roy (Rockland, Ont.) with 30 points (18 goals/12 assists), sophomore forward Christopher Kendall (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) with 25 points (11 goals, 14 points), and freshman forward Corey Kifner (Williamsville, N.Y.) with 23 points (7 goals/16 assists). Roy's 18 goals lead the nation as do Kifner's 16 assists.
