ECC students, staff join in Earth Week activities

Monday, April 18, 2011

Erie Community College students and staff didn’t wait for Earth Day to make the college a cleaner and greener place – they spread out across all three campuses April 13 and 14, 2011 to clean up the environment as part of ECC’s Earth Week activities.

After the campus cleanup, students joined ECC President Jack Quinn April 14 to plant new trees and shrubs in the courtyard at the college’s South Campus.

Other Earth Week events included an information day and electronics recycling day.

This year’s Earth Week was organized by the ECC Student Government Association, in cooperation with the college’s Maintenance Department.
