Malley, Rogalski Lead Kats to Win

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Dec. 9 - The Erie Community College hockey team snapped a two-game losing streak Sunday by downing the Canisius College ACHA team, 7-2, at the Cheektowaga Rec Center. The Kats, now 7-5, got two goals and two assists from Ryan Rogalski (Lancaster, N.Y.) and Matt Malley (North Tonawanda, N.Y.).

Malley gave the Kats a 1-0 lead 40 seconds into the contest. Rogalski made it 2-0 with a goal with 11 minutes remaining in the period.

After Canisius cut into the Kats' lead by scoring with 27 seconds remaining in the first period, Malley gave the Kats a two-goal lead, 4-2, by scoring 3:57 into the second.

ECC's Shane Mullen (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Maryvale) stopped all 27 shots he faced in the final two periods.

ECC will play at Mohawk Valley CC (Utica, N.Y.) Saturday in a Region III contest.
