ECC Men's Basketball Ranked Third in NJCAA II; Hockey Now Fourth

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Jan. 25) - The Erie Community College men's basketball team remained in third place in this week's NJCAA Division II rankings. The 15-1 Kats, winners of 12 straight, recorded 153 points in the poll. ECC was eighth in the first three polls of the season and moved to fifth in the Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Jan. 4 editions, before moving to fourth in the Jan. 11 poll. ECC was third in the Jan. 19 poll. South Mountain Community College of Phoenix, Ariz., is the division's top-ranked team and is 20-0. The entire poll can be seen by clicking here.

The Kats play Alfred State at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Flickinger Center.

The ECC hockey team is ranked fourth in the NJCAA poll. The Kats, one of four Region III teams ranked, will play #2 Hudson Valley Community College at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at the Cheektowaga Recreation Center Ice Rink.
