Erie athletic program is second in NATYCAA Cup standings

The National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) announced the leaders of the 2009-10 NATYCAA Cup through the winter sports season and currently Erie Community College’s athletic program stands second out of more than 400 colleges nationwide in the NJCAA Scholarship Division with 103 points.
College athletic programs are awarded points for how their teams finish in national championship competition. Seven Erie programs have qualified and earned top-15 finishes at their respective national championships this year, including women’s bowling and ice hockey that each were national runner-ups. Other Erie teams to finish in the top 15 were men’s bowling (3rd), men’s cross country (4th), women’s cross country (10th), women’s swimming (10th) and men’s swimming (13th).
