Dolegala Leads Kats at Nittany Lion Kegler Classic

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Dec. 30 – The Erie Community College bowling teams competed Thursday and Friday at the Nittany Lion Kegler Classic held at the AMF Parkway Lanes. Sophomore Danielle Dolegala (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) posted a 507 series on her way to finishing 35th to the lead the Kats.
The ECC women’s bowling team finished 14th with a two-day total of 5,448. On the men’s side, ECC finished 27th overall with a score of 7,883. The Kats were 35th after the first day of action.
Sophomore Mercedes Jimerson (Salamanca, N.Y./Salamanca) rolled a 201 game for team-high honors while freshman Eric Alajko (Depew, N.Y./Depew) rolled a 212 individual game and a 564 series for team-high honors on the men's side.
The Kats are off until Jan. 15, 2012, when they will compete at the Hawk Invitational at the Pin-O-Rama in Utica, N.Y.
The women’s individual results (five-game totals) were: 35th, Danielle Dolegala (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster), 818; 39th, Samantha Stachura-Lee (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport), 803; 52nd, Morgan Anderson (Orchard Park, N.Y./Tapestry Charter), 708; 54th, Mercedes Jimerson (Salamanca, N.Y./Salamanca), 641.
The men’s team individual results (five-game totals) were: 77th, Erie Alajko (Depew, N.Y./Depew), 932; 89th, Derek Szymkowiak (Eden, N.Y./Eden), 906; 111th, Devon Miller (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee), 861; 136th, Aaron Buziak (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier), 806; 141st, Chris Case (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee), 788.
