Hill's 14 Points Lead Kats in 25-5 Win

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - April 20 - The Erie Community College lacrosse team improved to 5-3 with a 25-5 win over Broome CC Saturday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium. The Kats were led by freshman Jacquelyn Hill (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) who recorded a season-high nine goals to go with five assists. Hill now ranks seventh in scoring in the NJCAA with 42 points (28 goals/14 assists).
Freshman Amanda Patrone (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) kept up her torrid scoring pace with seven goals and two assists. Patrone is second in the NJCAA with 47 points (31 goals/16 assists). She has recorded nine points now in three games this season.
Sophomore Emery Fleck (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) added three goals and five assists. Freshman Jessica Gensler (Lackawanna, N.Y./West Seneca West) and sophomore Destiny Sampson (Irving, N.Y./Gowanda) scored three and two goals, respectively. Freshman Brooklynn Schilling (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) made six saves for the win.

The 25 goals are the second-most in ECC history. The Kats scored 26 in a win over Genesee CC, April 18, 2012.

ECC will play top-ranked Monroe CC (12-0) at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Rochester, N.Y.
