Erie Community College will host an information session for its utilities training programs, including the gas field operations technician and overhead electric line worker programs, from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Room B207 in Bretschger Hall at ECC’s North Campus, 6205 Main St., Williamsville.
ECC’s Overhead Electric Line Worker program gives students the opportunity to attend classes at ECC for two semesters to gain a solid foundation in electrical theory along with hands-on experience at ECC’s indoor and outdoor training facilities.
ECC’s Gas Field Operations Technician program is a 12-credit, one semester program offered as a core concentration under the industrial technology associate degree program.
The unique training and experience gained in the program will prepare qualified graduates for jobs as servicemen, as well as positions in industries such as HVAC and plumbing.
