Kats Win Big Red Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. - (Nov. 8) - The Erie Community College men's bowling team won the fifth annual Big Red Invitational held at Cort-Lanes this past weekend in Cortland, N.Y.

The Kats finished with a two-day total of 8,864, topping second-place RIT's mark of 8,805. ECC finished third on the women's side with a 7,111 total.

ECC freshman Branden Simone (Cheektowaga) finished third with a 1,247 mark for six games. Simone had a 715 series with a high game of 270.

Two other Kats finished in the Top 10: sophomore David Zajac (Niagara Falls), fifth with a 1,224 total, and classmate Ted Chojecki (West Seneca), seventh at 1,218.

Freshmen Alyssa Narkiewicz (Niagara Falls) and Jenna Law (Milford, Mich.) were seventh (1,029) and ninth (995), respectively.

The Kats will compete in the two-day Penn State Classic held Saturday and Sunday in Bellefonte, Pa.
