ECC Wins Two, Loses Two at TC3 Invitational

DRYDEN, N.Y. (Oct. 2) - The Erie Community College volleyball split its four matches at Saturday's Tompkins-Cortland Community College Panther Invitational.

The Kats, now 16-10 overall, defeated Cayuga Community College, 25-15, 25-13; and Finger Lakes Community College, 25-14, 25-21. Herkimer Community College defeated ECC 31-29, 25-23 and host Tompkins-Cortland CC handed the Kats a 25-20, 12-25, 15-6 loss.

In the win over Cayuga CC, Julia Gangloff (Lancaster/Lancaster) had eight aces while Molly Gasuik (Buffalo/Mt. Mercy Academy) added seven.

In the victory over Finger Lakes CC, Katie Boxler (Attica/Attica) had eight kills while Nicole Kreuzer (Angola/Lake Shore) added five aces.

On the day, Gangloff recorded 53 set assists, 30 digs and 13 aces while Boxler had 28 kills.

ECC plays at Jamestown Community College Thursday at 6 p.m.
