Kats Finish 11th at NCA Collegiate National Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – April 8 – In its first-ever national championship appearance, the Erie Community College cheerleading squad finished in 11th place Friday’s in the All-Girl III Division at the 2011 NCA Collegiate Nationals. The NCA championships are held at The Band Shell/Ocean Center/Peabody Auditorium.

ECC posted a score of 7.858.

The Kats finished in 11th place after Thursday’s preliminary round but then won the Challenge Cup to advance to the championship round. 
ECC had a score of 7.790 in Thursday’s preliminary round.

The All-Girl Division, which consists of schools in the NCAA Division III, NAIA and junior college/community college football divisions. The divisions are classified according to football programs (e.g. NCAA FBS, NCAA FCS, etc.).
