NEFC Names Polk Defensive Player of the Week

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Sept. 17 - Dorian Polk, a sophomore cornerback on the Erie Community College football team, today was named the Northeast Football Conference's defensive player of the week for his efforts in the Kats' 30-7 win over Alfred State Sept. 15.

Polk, who hails from Lockport, N.Y., and attended Lockport High, intercepted two passes and made a team-high six tackles (4 solo/2 assists) in the Kats’ win Polk returned his first interception 40 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter and his second interception came on the Kats’ 2-yard line.

The Kats, now 1-2, will host No. 13 Nassau Community College at noon Saturday at Jim Ball Stadium.
