Tuesday, June 07, 2011

BUFFALO, N.Y. – June 6 – Erie Community College had 16 student-athletes named to the 2010-11 NJCAA Region III All-Academic Team. The 16 Kats honored were the most by any Region III institution. To be considered, a student-athlete had to have completed at least 55 credit hours with at least a 3.5 grade point average.

"The 2010-11 year was another success as you can see both in the classroom and on the playing arenas," said Peter Jerebko, ECC athletics director. "We have shown a lot of progress in preparing our student-athletes in all phases for the future and this list is indicative of that work."

Travis Denman (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) was honored for the second time.
