Monroe erased a six point halftime deficit by taking a 45-44 lead on a steal and a layup by Bobby Bell with 14:00 remaining in the contest. However, it was all Kats after that.

Erie responded by scoring the next 13 points and by the time the run was over, the Kats had built a 71-49 lead with 4:45 remaining in the game.
