BUFFALO, N.Y. - Jan. 19 - The Erie Community College men's basketball team, ranked 13th in the nation, extended its win streak to 11 games following Saturday afternoon's 86-76 win over Jamestown CC at the Flickinger Center. The Kats, 13-3 overall and 4-0 in Western New York Athletic Conference action, had three players score in double figures.
Sophomore guard Devon Elliott (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) led the Kats with 25 points while freshman guard Keron Briggs (Buffalo, N.Y./Sweet Home) added 20 points and nine assists. Sophomore forward Rayshawn Sumlin (Cleveland, Ohio/Martin Luther King) recorded his third overall double-double and second consecutive with 19 points and 18 rebounds. The 18 rebounds are a personal best for Sumlin and the most rebounds snared in a game in the past two seasons.
Jamestown CC (10-9) was led by Davonte Dunham's 25 points.
The Kats will take on Niagara County CC at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Flickinger Center.
