DeMartin Named to All-NJCAA World Series Team

BUFFALO, N.Y. - May 27 - Erie Community College outfielder Neil DeMartin (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) was named to the All-NJCAA World Series team. In ECC's four games at the 2011 NJCAA World Series, DeMartin hit a team-best .474 (9-for-19) with two doubles and four runs batted in.

DeMartin and the Kats went 2-2 to finish fourth at the NJCAA World Series, losing to eventual national champion Eastfield (Texas) College) in an elimination game May 24. Eastfield won the title Thursday night with an 8-4 decision over Gloucester (N.J.) CC.

DeMartin, who was a first-team All-Region III selection, was also named the winner of the Paschal C. Rubino Award as baseball's most valuable player.
