Kats Improve to 2-0 with 106-35 Win

HOUGHTON, N.Y. - Nov. 10 - Sophomore point guard Mercedezes Ephraim (Cleveland, Ohio/Maple Heights) scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Erie Community College women's basketball team to its second win of the season, a 106-35 victory over the Houghton College junior varsity Thursday night.

Charmaine Weaver (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) added 15 points while Riana Ward (Bronx, N.Y./Wings) 12 points; Bianca Dennis (Cleveland, Ohio/Maple Heights) 10 points and 14 rebounds; Shyasha Spencer (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) 14 points; and Jasmine Ball (Buffalo/Bennett) 14 points, each scored in double figures.
The Kats, now 2-0, will play Potomac State (W.Va.) at 2 p.m. Saturday in the McDonald's Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Garrett (Md.) College in McHenry, Md.
