Burke, Sterlace Lead Kats Past Broome CC

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - April 21 - The Erie Community College lacrosse team got four goals each from freshman Carlye Burke (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) and sophomore Melanie Sterlace (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca East) as the Kats recorded a 14-10 win over Broome CC Saturday afternoon.

ECC, now 6-5, had six different players score a goal. Sophomore Miranda Schultz (Angola, N.Y./Lake Shore) and freshman Emery Fleck (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) each netted two goals.

The Kats, who have won three of their last four matches, play third-ranked Monroe CC at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Jim Ball Stadium at the ECC South Campus. The contest will be ECC's sixth against a ranked opponent.
