The Erie CC athletics department finished 22nd in the rankings of the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) 2012-13 NATYCAA Cup Standings. The Kats recorded 61 points (34.5 men/26.5 women) to rank 22nd. ECC's rankings were aided by the women's bowling program winning the national championship and the women's basketball program making its second-straight appearance at the NJCAA Division II Tournament.
Iowa Central CC captured the scholarship college division with 181.0 points, Gloucester CC won the non-scholarship division with 169.0 points and Mt. San Antonio took home the State Association title with 177.5 points.
In just its second year of being awarded, Gloucester CC took home the Junior/Community College Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, capturing the title with 195.5 total points. Gloucester took home five national championships and captured two runner-up finishes.
The winners and the top three place finishers were recently honored at the 2013 NATYCAA Convention.
Now in its 26th year, NATYCAA is the professional organization of two-year college athletics administrators and membership is open to all two-year institutions from throughout the country.
