Zajac, Chojecki Finish Fifth, Sixth in NJCAA Singles

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - March 4 - Erie Community College sophomores David Zajac (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and Ted Chojecki (West Seneca, N.Y.) finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively, in Friday's men's singles competition at the NJCAA Bowling Championships at Transit Lanes.

Zajac had a high game of 264 in his 646 series while Chojecki had a 643 series. Zajac is the current leader in the all-events standings at 1,309. Freshman Brandon Simone (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) finished tied for 14th at 611.

The ECC men's team is in third place after the singles and doubles competition with 5,932 pins, Hudson Valley Community College leads with 5,988.

On the women's side, ECC is in fourth place at 4,908. Mohawk Valley CC leads at 5,235. Sophomore Alyssa Narkiewicz (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) was the Kats' top finisher in singles at 17th with a 509 score.
