Kats to Play Rochester CTC in NJCAA World Series Opener

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - May 16 - The Erie Community College baseball team will face Rochester Community and Technical College Saturday in the opening round of the NJCAA World Series held in Tyler, Texas, at Mike Carter Field. The game, the last of the four first-round games, is schedule to start at 8 p.m. (Eastern).

The Kats, 28-16, split two games with RCTC during both teams' trips to Florida in March. ECC recorded a 5-4 win when freshman Mike Wagner (Clarence, N.Y./St. Mary's) scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Kats the win. Wagner also picked up the win in relief. ECC lost the other game 3-0.

The Yellowjackets are 31-17 and won Region 13 Monday.
