ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - (Dec. 16) - Erie Community College defensive lineman Ellie Hyppolite (Daytona Beach, Fla./Spruce Creek) has signed a National Letter of Intent to enroll and play football at Florida A&M.
The 6-foot-4, 270 pound Hyppolite recorded 13 tackles (9 solo/4 assists) in eight games in 2010. He made 3.5 tackles for loss, broke up one pass, and forced one fumble.
Florida A&M won a share of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship in 2010, finishing with an 8-3 overall record. The Rattlers are members for the NCAA Football Championships Subdivision. Florida A&M is located in Tallahassee, Fla.
Hyppolite is the second member of the 2010 Kats to sign with a NCAA Division I program. Cornerback Destry Berry signed with the University of New Mexico, a NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision program.
