Kats Improve to 5-0 with 9-5 Win

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Nov. 8 - Sophomore forward Christopher Kendall (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) recorded two goals and four assists as the Erie Community College hockey team improved to 5-0 with a 9-5 win over SUNY Fredonia (ACHA) Tuesday night at the Cheektowaga Rec Center.

The Kats trailed 3-1 at one point in the first period before Kendall scored on the power play with 2:30 remaining. Sophomore forward Frank Briandi (Tonawanda, N.Y.) then scored seven seconds into the second period to tie the score. Following a SUNY Fredonia goal, the Kats closed the period with three-straight goals.

Freshman forward Corey Kifner (Williamsville, N.Y.) had two goals and two assists while Briandi had two goals and one assist. Freshman forward Scott Roy (Rockland, Ont.) had a goal and two assists while freshman defenseman Ryan Kaufman (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) was credited with two assists.

The Kats will play two games this weekend against the County College of Morris in Mennen, N.J.
