Erie Community College recently announced its annual award recipients for its upcoming Celebrate ECC event, scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 6 p.m. inside the college's historic City Campus Atrium. The night will honor local legacies and community achievements of a variety of prominent Western New Yorkers. And, amid the announced accolades, few individuals may enjoy more than Amherst resident and HealthNow NY Inc. President and CEO, Alphonso O'Neil-White.
O'Neil-White will receive the college's Community Impact Award, an honor rightfully deserved by a man of his tireless work ethic. Over the past 15 years, he has not only worked diligently for the success of his company, but also to improve the quality of life in his community. He is a trustee and director on a number of local and national boards, including the world-renowned Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the National Institute of Healthcare Management, and the BlueCross BlueShield Association. He is a member of the executive committee of the preeminent regional business alliance known as the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and serves on the board of directors of The Buffalo Club and Buffalo State College. He is also Chair of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
Aside from his work in the conference room and the community, O'Neil-White was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. (He previously chaired the Board of the Buffalo Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank and served as chair of the Upstate Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.)
O'Neil-White currently resides in Amherst with his wife, Marcia, and their youngest son.
