Six ECC Baseball Players Receive Regional Plaudits

Erie Community College sophomores Mike D'Eletto and James Krolikowski were recognized on the All-Region 3 Team and received First Team All-West Division accolades for their performances during the 2014 baseball season.

D'Eletto, an infielder, was a First Team selection. He hit .401 (55-for-137) with 29 RBI and a region-high four home runs. His region-leading .657 slugging percentage was bolstered by 17 doubles and three triples. He also had 13 stolen bases.

Krolikowski was a Second Team All-Region outfield selection after finishing second in the region with a .422 (43-for 102) batting average. He also stole 15 bases.

Sophomore infielder Brett Bauth, freshman designated hitter Matt Lahn, sophomore outfielder Kyle Sherman and sophomore pitcher Bill Brancatella were each named to the All West Division Second Team. Bauth hit .306 (30-for-118) with 19 stolen bases. Lahn hit .289 (26-for-101) with four home runs and 30 RBI. Sherman batted .309 (32-for-136) with 42 runs scored and 22 RBI. Brancatella finished the year 5-3 with a 2.65 ERA.  He was seventh in the Region with 53 strikeouts.

Erie placed third at the Region 3 Tournament and finished the year with a 27-22 record. It was their 22nd consecutive season with a winning record.
