Registration open for next Pre-Collegiate Studies session

Monday, May 16, 2011

Erie Community College’s Pathways to Success Pre-Collegiate Studies program will be starting its next session Monday, June 6, 2011. Registrations will be accepted until classes begin.

ECC’s Pre-Collegiate Studies program provides free non-credit instruction to adults who are planning to start college, but aren’t ready academically or need to improve their skills.

In addition to college reading, writing and mathematics sessions, the program also includes individual assistance with financial aid, career exploration and the ECC application process.

Courses are offered each semester at convenient times at all three ECC campuses, located in Williamsville, Buffalo and Orchard Park. In addition, classes will be offered at the Ken-Ton Community Education Center, located at 3200 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore; the South Buffalo Education Center, 2234 Seneca St., Buffalo and New Hope/Harvest House, located at 175 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo. Most classes meet for three hours, two days per week for 10 weeks.

Also, for the first time, pre-collegiate mathematics classes designed specifically for 2011 high school graduates will be offered at ECC’s City Campus.

To qualify, students must be at least 17 years old and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
