Kats Win Sixth Straight

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - (Nov. 21) - The Erie Community College hockey team won its sixth-straight game of the season with a 10-4 victory over the County College of Morris Sunday at the Cheektowaga Recreation Center Ice Rink.

ECC, now 7-1, took a 2-0 lead after the first period after a power-play goal by Paul Brown (Depew) and an even-strength tally by Ryan Vertino (Grand Island). CC of Morris made it 2-1 before the Kats scored five unanswered goals.

Brown finished the game with two goals as did Todd Lyness (North Tonawanda), Frank Briandi (Tonawanda) and Anthony Domros (West Seneca). Briandi and Lyness each added an assist to finish with three points while Nicholas Friol (Orchard Park) had three assists.

The Kats will play next at Hudson Valley Community College Dec. 3.
