Institutional Research

The Institutional Research Department is responsible for: providing information on sources of support, assisting principal investigators in identifying research funding opportunities, assisting faculty in the preparation and transmittal of applications and proposals, negotiating the terms and conditions of awards, assuring compliance by the University with sponsors' policies and requirements, interpreting for faculty the regulations of federal agencies and of private sponsors, clarifying College policies and procedures for faculty and sponsors, and serving as mediators between principal investigator and College schools and departments on one hand and sponsors on the other.

In addition, the office responsible for overseeing the financial management of sponsored programs. The office maintains accounts and records, prepares and submits financial reports, administers the cash flow of funds, monitors University compliance with sponsors' financial provisions, and assists in audit resolution.
