imageARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY - CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Program Description

The Architectural Technology - Construction Technology program provides the skills necessary to produce construction documents. Emphasis is placed on the graphic communications necessary for the fabrication of structures.

The fundamental objective of the program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions in architecture or in related construction fields.

Students are provided with a comprehensive architecture program, which addresses code application and compliance, material selection, and construction methods. Structural design and analysis, as well as architectural design and planning courses, serve to produce prepared technicians.

Graduates of the program are prepared to assume entry-level architectural positions. However, many of the program’s graduates transfer to four-year institutions for advanced degrees.

To successfully complete the program, a candidate must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in all departmental courses.
