Erie Community College provides superior opportunities for job placement, transfer preparation, and lifelong learning by offering current, continuously assessed academic programs which serve the needs of a diverse student population and facilitate the acquisition of general education competencies needed to compete in a changing economic climate.

ECC grants the two-year Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees in over 60 programs in the areas of Allied Health, Business and Public Service, Liberal Arts, and Engineering and Technologies. Five Certificate Programs, which focus on skills required for direct entry into the workplace, are also offered. Workforce development provides specialized training for students, employees and community members who wish to upgrade their workplace and professional skills. College transfer agreements facilitate easy credit transfer to four-year colleges for those wishing to pursue a bachelor's degree.

ECC is a member of the SUNY system, and is fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New York State Board of Regents. Many of the professional curricula are also accredited by specialized agencies.
